The Northeastern Political Science Association will hold its 58th Annual Meeting in Providence, Rhode Island, on November 12–14, 2026, at the Omni Providence Hotel. It will be a fully in-person conference.

Go to our Submission Site and upload your paper, panel, or roundtable proposal, as well as indicate your availability to serve as a panel chair or discussant. Graduate and undergraduate students are encouraged to submit proposals. If you do not already have an account in Allacademic, create one for free.

As always, we need volunteers to serve as panel chairs and discussants. Serving in these roles is a rewarding way to contribute to the advancement of scholarship by helping fellow scholars develop their projects.

The submission deadline is May 15, 2026.

Please note that only one paper submission per person is allowed. However, a paper presenter may also serve as a chair and/or discussant on other panels or as a roundtable participant; faculty members may serve in the additional role of mentor for undergraduate research. Please submit your paper or panel proposal to the appropriate Conference Section Chair.

NPSA will award travel grants by lottery to two graduate students who register for, and participate in, the annual meeting in Providence. Names will be selected at the conference; each student will receive a check for $150 to help offset expenses associated with attending the conference.

There will be no AV equipment (screen projection) available at the conference. Presenters may bring printed handouts to share.

Registration for the Annual Conference opens every year on September 1. Membership can be renewed at the same time. Discounted conference rates will be available between September 1 and October 31st.

Travel accommodations can be arranged any time by the attendees.

The NPSA website is regularly updated with conference information.

For questions, please contact the appropriate Section Chair or the conference Program Chair, Elizabeth Amato, at [email protected].

Travel accommodations can be arranged any time by the attendees.
