The Northeastern Political Science Association seeks a volunteer for the position of Treasurer. The Treasurer is a member of the Executive Board of the NPSA. The position's responsibilities, which require an average of about four hours of work per week, include:
manage the NPSA's finances, including the collection and deposit of fees from members in cash, credit card or bank checks.
pay bills for service provided by vendors.
administer the NPSA's fiscal affairs, including investment and revenues and expenditures reports to the NPSA Executive Board.
together with the Executive Director, provide annual budget estimates to the board for its consideration.
ensures the development of financial policies and procedures that are considered by the Board, including the annual preparation of the IRS 990EZ form.
